Business profile

The Business Profile page is where you register your agency with US carriers so you can send and receive text messages. It tracks your registration status and is the starting point for every registration step.

Navigate to Admin → Business Profile.

A status alert at the top of the page tells you exactly where you are:

A registration steps checklist below the alert tracks each step individually. Use the Refresh button to pull the latest status at any time.

The sidebar shows your registered business name, EIN, address, and the status of each component at a glance.

Gather this information before you start — having it ready makes the process much faster:

  • Your agency’s legal business name (as it appears on tax filings)
  • EIN / Tax ID
  • Business type (LLC, Corporation, Sole Proprietor, etc.)
  • Physical mailing address (P.O. boxes are not accepted)
  • Public website URL
  • Contact details for one or two authorized representatives — people with the authority to register on behalf of the business

Click Start Registration (or Continue Registration if you’ve already begun) to open the guided wizard. It walks you through five steps:

  1. Business Address — your agency’s physical mailing address.
  2. Business Details — legal name, Tax ID, business type, industry, and website.
  3. Representatives — up to two authorized contacts from your agency.
  4. Verification Check — Traise runs a compliance pre-check. You’ll see a Compliant result if everything looks good. If any issues are flagged, correct the indicated fields and re-check.
  5. Submit — review your information and submit. Traise sends your registration to the carriers for approval.

Approval typically takes 2–3 business days. You can close the wizard after submitting — return to this page and click Refresh to check your status.

After your business is verified, a Create Campaign button appears on this page. This step tells the carriers what kind of messages you plan to send.

  1. Click Create Campaign on the Business Profile page.
  2. Select your messaging type — for example, customer care, account notifications, or mixed use.
  3. Provide sample messages that represent the texts your agency will send.
  4. Submit for carrier review.

Messaging approval takes 1–7 business days.

Once both steps are approved, your phone numbers become SMS-enabled and the status shows All Done. You’re ready to send texts to clients.

If either step is rejected, this page shows the reason. Correct the flagged information and resubmit — there’s no limit on resubmissions.

  • The entire registration process typically takes 3–10 business days end to end.
  • You only need to do this once per business. Adding new phone numbers afterward does not require re-registration.
  • If your agency changes its legal name or Tax ID, you’ll need to update the Business Profile and resubmit.
  • Traise supports one business registration per account.
