Widgets
Widgets are embeddable snippets you place on your agency website. When a visitor clicks the widget, it connects them to your Traise-powered phone or chat system. All widget interactions appear inside Traise just like any other contact — calls log to the client record, messages appear in the inbox.
Getting there
Section titled “Getting there”Navigate to Account → Info → Widgets. The page shows a grid of your existing widgets and displays your usage count against your plan maximum (for example, “3 / 10”).
Creating a widget
Section titled “Creating a widget”- Click Create Widget.
- Enter a Widget Name — this is for internal identification only, visitors don’t see it.
- Select a Company Profile (required). You must have a Company Profile configured under Account → Info before you can create a widget.
- Choose a Phone Number from the list of unassigned numbers. A number assigned to a widget cannot simultaneously be assigned to a location.
- Assign Users who will receive incoming widget interactions.
- Set the Timezone for the widget’s operating hours.
- Configure Voice and SMS settings as needed.
- Click Save to create the widget.
Installing a widget on your website
Section titled “Installing a widget on your website”- On the Widgets page, find the widget you want to install and click its card.
- Expand the Installation Guide accordion.
- Copy the embed code snippet.
- Paste the snippet into the
<head>or just before the closing</body>tag of every page where you want the widget to appear. - Publish your site changes. The widget will appear immediately.
Managing existing widgets
Section titled “Managing existing widgets”Edit: Click any widget card to reopen the creation dialog with your current settings. Changes save immediately.
Copy API key: Use the copy button on the widget card to grab the API key for use with custom integrations.
Reset credentials: If your API key is compromised, use the reset option on the widget card. A confirmation dialog prevents accidental resets. After resetting, update your embed code on your website — the old key stops working immediately.
Delete: Remove a widget permanently using the delete option on the card. A confirmation dialog is shown first.
- Phone number conflicts: A phone number can be assigned to a widget or a location, not both. If you need the same number for both purposes, contact support for guidance.
- Company Profile required: The widget uses your Company Profile for caller ID and branding. If no profiles exist yet, set one up first under Account → Info.
- Plan limits: When you reach your plan maximum, the Create Widget button is disabled. Upgrade your plan or delete an unused widget to free up a slot.
