Call Summary
Call Summary generates a short, structured summary of each recorded phone call — the caller’s intent, the key points discussed, the outcome, and any follow-up actions — and shows it with the call on your call log and the client’s activity. If the phone panel is still open when the summary is ready (usually a minute or two after hangup), it appears right on the recent call.
Turning it on
Section titled “Turning it on”From Admin → Traise Intelligence, switch Call Summary on and accept the disclaimer (see the overview for what the disclaimer covers and the PII option).
- The first time you enable it, Traise sets up the underlying transcription service for your account — you’ll see a brief spinner while that completes. Turning it off and back on afterward is instant.
- Turning it off stops summaries for new calls immediately. Summaries already on your call logs stay put.
What gets summarized
Section titled “What gets summarized”- Recorded client calls, inbound and outbound. Internal peer-to-peer calls and voicemails are not included (voicemails have their own summary feature).
- Each summary has four sections: Call Purpose, Key Points, Outcome, and Follow-Up Actions — designed to be read in under 15 seconds.
- Very short calls (under ~30 seconds) are skipped automatically — hang-ups and wrong numbers don’t use up your daily allowance.
- If a recording has no usable conversation (silence, hold music, an immediate hang-up), the summary reads “No usable conversation.”
Daily limits
Section titled “Daily limits”Call Summary is metered per day, and the allowance depends on your plan — the feature’s card in Admin → Traise Intelligence shows your current allowance. It’s shared across everyone on the account, resets at midnight UTC (late afternoon or early evening in US time zones, not your local midnight), and doesn’t carry over from one day to the next.
If you hit the daily limit, calls still record and transcribe as normal — they just don’t get an AI summary until the reset. Nothing errors and no warning appears, so if summaries stop showing up partway through a busy day, check the allowance first.
See How daily allowances work for the full rules.
Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”Call recordings are sent to our vendor’s AI service to produce the transcript and summary, which are stored on the matching call log in Traise. No contact records or other account data are sent, and your data is never used to train third-party AI models.
Deleting a call recording does not remove a summary that was already generated — the summary stays on the call log.
